Discontinued Items
Occasionally items are discontinued without proper notice. Under these circumstances we will contact you with a similar replacement product. If you do not agree to the new terms, at this time you may decide to cancel the order without penalty.
Return Policy
If you are disatisfied for any reason and must make a return. An item may be returned for any reason with a 30% restocking fee plus shipping cost both ways within 4 days of receipt of the item. We will be happy to provide freight bills to calculate the total cost that apply to our policies, terms and conditions. After items are received into the warehouse in new condition refunds will be made according to our polices. Your refund will be issued once the returned product has been received and accepted. Shipping fees are not refundable.
All products must be in original packaging in order to be returned or the freight company will not pick up your request according to our terms and conditions. If the original packing is no longer available we can send a crew to repack the item with an additional fee to your credit card if necesssary . Our customer will authorizes ModernNova.Com to charge their credit card for any restocking or other charges in addition to the cost of the products to include shipping charges for any product returned.
Damaged
All products are fully inspected before shipment. Inspect your purchases at time of delivery for any damages. Therefore we insist that you inspect your merchandise out of the boxes after shipment for any shippping damage. In the event of a damaged box or carton this must be noted on the freight bill as" Damaged Cartons". You are responsible to note on freight bill any Damaged Carton or Damage of any Merchadise and MUST be report it to us within 24 hours. Please contact us and make us aware of the problem before returning. If you find damage you must note damage to product on the freight bill ot shipping receipt in order to receive repair work,replacement, or other remedy. If damaged is not noted on freight bill or recipt this policy will be void and you will have no recourse .
With obvious severe damage to packaging upon delivery from commercial carrier such as UPS, FedEX, etc. then refuse shipment and email us immediately. If after opening package you discover concealed damaged contact us immediately to arrange an inspection.
If the item arrives damaged, and buyer signs and accepts delivery, buyer will be responsible for
repackaging the items in its original packaging and return transportation, including any return transportation charges. Upon receipt of returned merchandise, ModernNova will replace the defective item for the buyer. In the event that a suitable replacement is not available, a refund (excluding shipping) will be issued in the form of the original payment method or a company check.
Redelivery and /or Pick up
If you are not home at your agreed time of delivery or ask the carrier to return at a later time you will be charged a $75.00 to $150.00 fee per attempt for redelivery and /or pickup.
Storage Charges
If our carrier is forced to store your merchandise, these conditions would force us to include a fee of $50.00 per day will be charged to you.
Once our carrier contacts you, our terms state you must respond to them immediately to schedule a furniture delivery. If you do not respond promptly our carrier may be forced to store your merchandise until they are able to contact you . You will be charged a storage fee of $50.00 per day for your modern contemporary furniture until it is delivered.
Refusing Delivery
If you return, refuse, or miss your furniture delivery appointment time of your non defective, undamage product you will be responsible for all return shipping costs. If you do not pay these costs directly to the carrier they may be subtracted from your refund after product is returned to the warehouse.
Modern Nova.Com offers Free Shipping but Please Note furniture orders refused without reason or prior notice or canceled after product is in transit, the customer will incur both freight charges to the customers home/office and the return freight charges back to the warehouse.
Canceling or Changing Orders
ALL CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS MUST BE AUTHORIZED IN ADVANCE
Standard Items can be cancelled up to 48 hours prior shipping.
Custom Items are made to order and are not in stock in a warehouse therefore they must be cancelled anytime prior to manufacturing. You can change the colors on your order within 3 days of placing your order providing it has not left the warehouse. Colors can not be changed after 3 days. After the modern furniture manufacturing process has begun on these orders can not be changed.
Changes or cancellation done before production or shipment have no fees. Products that have been shipped you will be responsible for ALL shipping charges and they will be deducted from your refund. You will be responsible for all merchandise in transit.
Sales Tax
There is no sales tax charged unless you live in Illinois where there will be a 8.75% sales tax applied and in New Jersey were there will be a 7% sales tax applied.

Delivery to room of choice, unpacking, assembly with tools, & debris removal, Inside placement, two flights of stairs, and light assembly limited to 30 minutes and limited to those performed with a crescent wrench and screwdrivers.
Excess of 30 minutes will pay the rate of $40.00 per quarter hour.
Our Modern Furniture shipping dates are estimated. Order times are provided to us from the factory as estimated ship dates. If there are any unusual delays to your order we will notify you.
